The girls football mini 7s team made the trip to Dunganny on Friday the 28th of February. The girls beat Scoil Éanna in their first game and went on to play Kilmessan NS in their final game. This ended in a pulsating draw which meant a 3 minute a half decider. Kilmessan came out the stronger side in extra time but well done to Boyerstown who never gave up until the final whistle. The girls played amazingly and wore the Boyerstown jersey with pride. The weather was stunning and made it a really enjoyable day out in Dunganny.
Creative February is well underway in our school as part of the Creative Schools initiative. Throughout the month, children have been exploring their creativity both in school and at home in so many different ways. From cooking and baking to drawing, sewing, writing stories, and construction, there has been no limit to their imagination and talent. It has been fantastic to see the variety of projects taking shape, with pupils embracing new skills and expressing themselves in unique and creative ways. We look forward to seeing even more wonderful creations as the month continues! As part of Creative February and to celebrate St. Brigid’s Day, every pupil in our school contributed to a special St. Brigid’s cloak. Each child designed and decorated their own unique patch, adding their creativity, colour, and personal touch to the cloak. Once all the patches were complete, we brought them together to create a beautiful, vibrant display that reflects the imagination and individuality of every pupil. It was wonderful to see the effort, artistic skills, and creativity that went into each piece. A true team effort and a fitting tribute to St. Brigid! Creative February is in full swing, and our Senior Infants and 5th Class had a fantastic time during our Lego afternoon. Pupils brought in their own Lego and put their creativity to the test, building everything from imaginative structures to detailed designs. It was wonderful to see their ideas come to life as they worked independently and collaborated with their classmates. The afternoon was filled with excitement, problem-solving, and lots of impressive creations. Well done to everyone who took part in this fun and creative activity!
