The Feast of Saint Brigid (1st February)

In Religion and SESE this week we learned all about Saint Brigid. We celebrate Saint Brigid every year on the 1st of February. We now know how important she was in spreading the word of God. She really wanted to build a Church for people to come and pray and learn about God. We were fascinated to read how Saint Brigid put her cloak down on the ground and how it spread for acres and acres. The King at the time knew she was blessed by God and gave her all the land she needed.
We decided in Art using fabric and fibre to make our own Saint Brigid's cloak and to see how far it might spread! Come and take a look in the front hall when you visit the school.
