The 6th Class children put on a wonderful science expo for all the children in the school with lots of assistance from Bernie O'Bric and very helpful parents. First Class really enjoyed learning about climate action from the older boys and girls in the school. We realise that climate change is happening and the impact this will have for our world. We need to start making more positive changes in order to help our planet. Thank you 6th class for such an important lesson!

First Class put on their scientist's hats this week for science week and we tried out lots of really fun experiments. We made some predictions about what we thought might happen, we observed what happened and then we discussed and recorded the results.
We tried out lots of different experiments; We made some raisins dance We made an egg float We made a lava lamp We made fireworks in a jar We pierced holes in a ziplock bag full with water without spilling a drop! We changed the colours of some white flowers We loved getting involved in science week and cant wait to try out some more experiments! In our class we are always mindful of showing kindness to one another. We share kind thoughts and try to do kind things both in the classroom and on the yard. We set up an advent kindness calendar in our classroom for the month of December. We also displayed a kindness quilt in the school front hall. We wanted to share some really simple ideas to continue to promote the kind atmosphere in our school such as; asking someone to join in a game, taking turns, saying 'please' and 'thank you', asking someone if they are feeling ok.
