Hard luck to our Girls Football Team who were beaten by Coole N.S. last Thursday in Boyerstown in difficult conditions, in the semi-final of the Meath Cumann na mBunscoil Football competition. The girls battled bravely throughout the game showing great determination to challenge for every ball, but unfortunately Coole proved to be too  strong on the day. We wish the Coole team the best of luck in the final which is being played this weekend. Our girls had a positive campaign winning their four group games against Carnaross, Oristown ,Dunderry and Kilbride, showing lots of skill and good teamplay in those games. Fortunately we have a young panel, with many girls who will continue to fly the flag for Boyerstown for years to come. The panel of 28 players includes ; Rebecca Reilly, Aoibheann Ratty, Sophia Reilly, Chloe Rogers, Clodagh Fitzsimons, Hannah Carr, Libby Clynch, Jessie Becton, Mia Haber-Mallon, Ciara Hughes, Alisha Mills, Alesha Reilly, Emma Fitzsimons, Rosa Garvey, Hannah Mc Keever, Aymie Molloy, Katie O’Brien,  Lucy Smith, Shelby Lawless, Lucy Callaghan, Emily Comerford, Lauryn Comerford, Cara Conaty, Ava Dillon, Chloe Lynagh, Lilliana O’Brien, Maisie O’Regan,  and Rachel Smyth. Thank you to Miss Sherlock for helping to train the team. Thank you to the parents for supporting the girls throughout the campaign and to the girls themselves for showing great dedication and effort over the last eight weeks of training and games.
